Xclear – Products Worth Reviewing

XLEAR

Have you read lately that fluoride could actually be less beneficial to us than we had originally thought? There are some research that indicates this and while I believe that fluoride does help with cavity prevention, people are starting to find other healthier and less risky alternatives to oral care. I’m in no way an expert on fluoride use of course but when my son was little and couldn’t use fluoride yet due to his age, I found out about xylitol and its many benefits for both children and adults.

Xylitol (http://www.xlear.com/the-lasting-effects-of-xylitol/) is an all-natural sugar alcohol found in many fruits and vegetables and produced in small amounts by the human body. It is a safe sugar alternative for both adult and children and can be used and taken on a daily basis. But perhaps the most ingenious factor of Xylitol is its ability to solve dental health problems. Its properties prevent bacteria from flourishing in the mouth, inhibiting tooth decay and cavity growth. The taste is naturally sweet and can be used for dental care and prevention of tooth decay as well as for food.

XLEAR KIT

As a Moms Meet Ambassador and blogger, I had the wonderful opportunity to try and review Xlear, a leading manufacturer of xylitol products. I was given the Xlear Care Kit which consists of Xlear Nasal Spray, Spry Toothpaste, Bamboo toothbrush, Spry Oral Rinse, Spry Gum, and Spry Gems. The Xlear Nasal Spray can be used for both children and adults and it came in handy during the dry summer months in California. The Spry Oral Rinse has a slight minty taste, not too strong, but I can still feel the liquid permeating my gums and teeth. It was quite refreshing afterwards! Their Spry Gum and Spry Gems are perhaps our favorites though because the gum is really soft to chew and the gems are tiny and fun to eat. Although the flavor of the gum is not as long-lasting as other chewing gums, you really don’t need to chew it for a long amount of time for it to work on cleaning your teeth. I just chew it anyway to help me concentrate at times when I’m writing.

SPRY GEMS

My son loves chewing the Spry gum in the Fruit flavor (which was not included in the kit) but is available on their website and I feel better knowing that the gum does not contain added sugar, just the natural xylitol ingredient. The Spry gems was also a favorite for him as they are small enough to keep in your mouth and without having to suck on it for too long. Overall, Xlear’s Spry gums and gems are good alternatives to regular gums and mints for children and because of the added benefits of xylitol, it’s a much safer choice for your little ones.

You can find Xlear (http://www.xlear.com/) at most natural grocery stores, online at Amazon, and on Xlear’s website. For more info about the benefits of xylitol, be sure to visit their website.
